Många känner till spotify och alla dess tjänster. Men inte lika många vet att samma tjänst finns för film. En av alla dessa tjänster heter Voddler och finns på www.voddler.com. En direkt copy paste från Voddlers hemsida säger så här om företaget:
Streaming video-on-demand (VOD) service Voddler offers the best films and series legally on Internet-connected devices. Voddler offers both pay-per-view and free advertising-funded titles, where and when the viewer wants.
Our history, a snapshot of today and our ambitions
Founded in 2005 in Sweden, Voddler launched its service in 2009 as an invitation-beta, and then opened for the public in 2010. Voddler currently operates throughout Scandinavia, with open access for everyone in Sweden and Norway, and on invite only-basis in Finland and Denmark.
As of September 2010, Voddler has a growing catalog of 2 500 titles, with content from both international and domestic media majors. For an exact and up-to-date number of titles – both feature films, TV-series, and documentaries – see the top left hand corner of our home page.
So far in 2010, “voddlerites” have watched over four million titles after downloading the Voddler player.
We believe film viewers should be able to watch their favorite titles when and where they want. We therefore do not limit ourselves to the computer screen, where Voddler is currently available, but also work to show Voddler-films both on handheld devices, such as mobile phones, and on web-connected TV-screens.
